Pit Babe Season 2 – Episode 13 – Recap and Review – End

When last we left our not-omegaverse soap opera, Babe was handing Charlie over to Tony.

Because he’s willing to do anything to get Charlie’s memories back!

Of course not. But we watch Babe ask for Alan, Kenta, and Dean in return. Alan tells Babe that Tony will betray him. Yes, Alan, everyone knows.

Babe wants Charlie released after he gives his blood. Tony gives creepy Daddy promises that no one should ever trust.

Willy stops a random hourglass so he can stab Tony with… something. But he seems to struggle, time starts moving again, and he only grazes Tony. I have no idea why.

Winner starts shooting, so he and Tony can walk away while Babe and Alan fight random minions.

Jeff, Pete, and Not-Way arrive and walk… somewhere

North, Sonic, and Kim turn off the electricity. Then everyone splits up to find someone else.

Babe leaves Charlie alone and machine guns Tony a little, but it doesn’t help. Tony and Charlie disappear. Jeff finds Alan, who gets shot in the back while protecting him. Things look dire, but Alan has super healing.

Shirtless Kenta is here! He takes down some guards and takes a bullet in the back for Kim. He turns himself into a meat shield so Kenta can stand in the open and shoot at people. I guess Kim knew Kenta had super healing, because he doesn’t look worried.

It’s probably the most romantic moment in the show. After, they scold each other for getting into danger. Kim makes Kenta cover up, and then kissing time!

Babe catches up to Tony on the roof, but he’s holding a gun on Charlie. We finally learn this was all part of the plan. Now that Tony has Charlie tight in his grasp, Charlie grabs his hand to take his powers.

Pete and Not-Way join the party

Tony pauses to look at Not-Way and be like, “Way?” and it cracks me up. But he realizes he’s the useless twin. Pete stops Not-Way from shooting Tony, then Willy arrives and shoots Tony.

Tony shoots Charlie through the back a few times. Everyone stands and watches. Alan and Jeff come up to the roof so Jeff can look sad at his dying brother while Babe sobs.

But Tony dies, while Charlie does the blood drinking trick. Willy wanders off because he’s done. The few people NOT on the roof encounter Winner, and let him go, because why not. Even Winner looks confused.

And, fade to back.

Tony’s Dead and Life Goes On

Charlie is in a coma. Dean is in a wheelchair. Sonic apologizes to Dean. Kim is going back to Korea.

And Not-Way is returning to America. Now that the skill-nullifying drug was magically completed, he’s done. Pete thought they were moving in together, but Not-Way feels Pete hasn’t moved on from Way. Probably because they were moving into Way’s old place. Seriously Pete?

Not-Way leaves it open for them to reconnect in the future, and Pete accepts it in his mild way.

Jeff is FAR too nice to Alan, who at least admits he’s a hypocrite and accepts Jeff’s anger. Jeff would have been more angry if he had died. Alan is his world. Aww.

Also, Jeff wants Alan to keep his powers and be his super-strong, healthy boyfriend. I get that Jeff.

Kim and Kenta meet up at an empty amusement park. Kenta is going to try living for himself and wants to know if he can reach out to Kim. Kim has seen him shirtless, so yes.

Sonic is leaving, but he’ll come back. North chases after him for some bad French and cheesy lines.

Willy offers Babe sex, but he’s just kidding. Babe tells Willy he loves Charlie more than racing.

ONE YEAR LATER

Sonic is back! Dean looks great! Charlie still doesn’t remember anything! Until Babe re-teaches him to drive a racecar. All of season 1 flashes by in his mind! Babe is thrilled. They haven’t had sex in a year, but show some restraint since everyone is there, and just kiss.

Then we get a beautiful wedding that includes Kim and Kenta and Pete and Not-Way. I guess they got together?

Also, Winner and Tony are there. Maybe the cast wanted to enjoy a legally valid fictional gay wedding. Nothing else makes any sense.

And really, very little made sense in this last episode

Or this season. But as I’ve said, I don’t care about plot holes with Pit Babe.

I’m more disappointed by the lackluster showing of the second couples.

I get that Pete is the calm, reasonable one, but it would have been nice to see him get emotional and fight to keep Not-Way. Kenta and Kim should have been in bed together for that last discussion, not at an empty amusement park. Sonic and North’s problems were vague and then solved. Alan was disappointing in general and needed better writing.

He wasn’t part of a couple, but Willy’s cool powers were used for nothing cool.

But this last episode was a kind of beautiful, nonsense disaster. I had to pause to laugh several times. The writers needed to make things happen, so they did. Why did Tony flee to the roof? Why did everyone go to the roof? Why were Pete and Not-Way there at all? Because they wanted certain things to happen. Don’t worry about it. Whatever. None of it matters.

But I liked how they took down Tony. It was one of the few things that felt like a conclusion to things that had happened earlier. Charlie first accidentally took Babe’s senses, then deliberately took Jeff’s to help him, and now took Tony’s to save everyone.

I guess that “The End” means no third season. Too bad, because I’ll miss this soapy, silly nonsense and these characters. But I look forward to seeing these actors in their other projects.
