When last we left our Pink Bunny and Mysterious Stranger, Sun learned Jay also wants revenge.
Jay likes to psychoanalyze Sun on their roof
It happens more than once. Here he questions his habit of pushing people away and saying the opposite of how he feels. It’s cute, but Sun does it too much.
Jay whispers in Sun’s ear that someday he’ll have to beg him. Yes. Please.
Somehow Jay gets Sun home with him. Sun snoops the way I would, staring at a picture of young Jay and his mother. Jay told him that after spending time away, she returned to Thailand to start an entertainment business. At the time, she relied heavily on Kongkiat, a man we’ve met once or twice.
Kongkiat betrayed her, convinced everyone she was incompetent, and took over. Already struggling with depression, she died by suicide soon after.
No one at Dream knows Jay’s true identity.
Also, Jay hasn’t slept for 3 days. Sun ignores his questions about whether he cried when his brother and mother died, dragging Jay into his bedroom. Then Jay drags him into his bed. There’s rolling around and tussling and groping and…
Jay falls asleep.
As he sneaks out, Sun knocks a script off Jay’s table
The main character has a terrible fear of cameras.
Sun tracks Sky down and asks if he wants to get back at the person who set him up. Sky didn’t realize anyone did anything to him. Sun promises to explain when they meet later.
But instead of meeting him, he tricks Bank into meeting him, thinking Sky has proof Bank messed with his audition. Sky is confused. Bank is defensive. Before it gets physical, Sun comes out.
Bank sees his face finally and leaves.
Sun tells Sky about this perfect script for him. Sky is willing to audition, not for revenge, but for Kajorn. But Sky is confused because he thought Sun didn’t like him. Sun explains how he reminds him of his dead brother. Awww.
Our platonic thruple is together again!
Both Sky AND Sun have auditions! Sky does great. Sun… needs work. Also, the director is surprised Kajorn found the script. Only Director Arthur knows about it.
Kajorn is worried that Sun is sleeping with Director Arthur in exchange for help with his revenge. Sun reassures him he knows what he’s doing. Kajorn is So Sweet.
Kongkiat and Bank show no feeling as Bank’s sponsor rapes another trainee. Bank wants Kongkiat to get rid of Sun. Kongkiat doesn’t care about Sun. He’s focused on the show Bank is supposed to star in.
Sky gets his own photoshoot with Pakin, which he barely makes it through. Then it gets worse when two people interview him immediately after. Sky collapses, and Pakin scolds Kajorn for not knowing how bad it is for Sky.
When it’s just our platonic thruple, Sky explains that in school he was recorded while being assaulted. He says he’s okay and he doesn’t need therapy, but thankfully Kajorn doesn’t listen. Sky is seeing a doctor.
At a board meeting, Kongkiat and Jay argue over whether Bank or Penneung should star in the upcoming series, The Memory.
Later, our platonic throuple are celebrating Sky’s first day of shooting when Kajorn gets a call. Penneung is in trouble, and people want Director Arthur to resign.
Penneung ran over someone on camera, then fled
The footage has been kept secret until now. There’s a lot of speculation over who was involved, especially because Penneung is Director Arthur’s friend.
Sun goes to Jay’s, but no one answers, so he waits. So long that he wakes up in Jay’s bed. Jay climbs on top of him, wanting Sun to admit he missed him. He goes in for a kiss and starts undoing his pants, but Sun gives it a pass.
Sun guesses that Jay had nothing to do with Penneung covering up his crime, or revealing it. And Jay reveals that the leak seems to have come from Kajorn’s email. Whether he really did it doesn’t matter. Sun only has a short time to prove Kajorn’s innocence.
At Dream, Sun suggests Kajorn prove his innocence by becoming Penneung’s manager. He tells Kajorn he believes in him. Also, drags him to Penneung’s place, where he sneaks him unwillingly inside to knock on the door. But Penneung doesn’t want Kajorn’s help.
Time for Sun to do the nudes for Pakin!
They’re not full frontal, with a tasteful bit of fabric draped over certain parts. Sky is there and learns from Pakin that he had a terrible teacher who nearly made him quit. Pakin tells Sky about the satisfaction of having someone who hurt you witness your success.
This show is extremely pro-revenge.
Sun finds Jay on their roof and asks if Kongkiat is trying to get rid of him. Jay wants to know if Sun is worried about him. Also, he wants to kiss him. He guesses Sun won’t let himself be happy or cry because of his guilt over his family.
Jay doesn’t want Sun to deny his feelings for him. He puts Sun’s hand on his chest to feel his beating heart. From now on, Sun just needs to keep thinking about him.
Later, an actor in Sky’s project is a no-show, and this is Sun’s chance.
Before they shoot the scene, Jay calls Sun into the restroom and kisses him. Sun tries to escape, and Jay asks if he’s going to ignore his needs again.
Sun is annoyed that Jay turns everything into a puzzle
Jay wants Sun to ask for what he needs. Jay never goes easy on anyone and will break something to own it completely. Oh my.
They make out more before a monster interrupts them. Jay gives Sun a USB that his manager might need, then leaves.
Sun’s scene is about a man jumping off a building. Yup. Method acting for the win. He does an amazing job, smiling right before he jumps. Everyone is stunned.
Kajorn meets Pennueng on his own and shares what he learned from that USB: Penneung’s manager and Kongkiat set Penneung up. He convinces Penneung to let him help him restart his career.
Starting by apologizing to the victim. And announcing Director Arthur had nothing to do with any of it.
Time for more roof psychoanalysis, this time over what Sun wants
Jay asks if he still doesn’t accept that he likes him. This time he puts his hand on Sun’s chest to feel Sun’s heart beating.
Sun asks what it would change if he accepted it. Jay kisses him, and Sun doesn’t push him away. Jay thinks that Sun still wants to live.
The director has some rewrites for Sun’s character. They were done with Director Arthur’s help. Of course, they are all about his life, his struggle to feel, and why he should keep breathing.
While reading the script, Jay texts, offering to make Sun cry. Sun thought living without feeling was the suffering he paid to stay alive. But the people around him have given him reasons to feel.
He runs to give Jay a hug in the rain. He would like to cry, please.
The sex scene is… at least Kinnporsche level spicy. And it gets Sun those cathartic tears he wanted.
After, they stare at each other, and Jay says Sun looks like he figured something out. Jay reminds him about when he asked if he believed in karma. He said he did, and if they were meant to share it, they’d meet again. Like they have now.
Sun finally puts it together, kisses Jay, and more…
I don’t care about the plot, I only care about Jay and Sun
And Sky and Kajorn.
As far as Bank, I’ve decided it’s only ever been about being at the top for him. The acting never mattered. And once he gets to the top, he’d turn into another horrible, gross, rapist sponsor person.
So back to Jay and Sun. It’s a good thing I care about the characters more than the plot because the plot is…
At first, I thought this was more of a Revenge Drama than a BL. Now, it’s much more a BL than a Revenge Drama. Sun’s initial plan for revenge by outdoing Bank felt half-baked at best, and hasn’t turned into anything he could realistically do anytime soon. Pakin headshots or not.
So the focus seems to have shifted from outdoing Bank to stopping him, specifically from destroying Kajorn and Sky. With Jay’s help.
Part of the reason I thought this wasn’t much of a BL was how little Jay was in it initially. And I still think that’s an issue. The show would be stronger if Jay had been a bigger part earlier. Especially since our leads have mad chemistry together.
But now that we’re here, I’m happy to see the emotional push-pull between them become a big part of this half of the story. I care less about revenge, and more about Sun getting his feelings back via Jay’s obsessive, crazy love.
