When last we left the good cop and the bad cop, Kamin had just been suspended!

Not that it matters
He orders Jade to keep him updated on everything, but is worried the two of them will be closely watched. Jade feels uneasy that they can’t be together all the time. He takes Kamin’s hand and gives him his gun. My heart.
Kamin asks Jade to keep his distance, not as his superior, but as his boyfriend.
But they don’t stay apart. They meet at a place near Tonkla’s dorm where they suspect drugs are being exchanged. Some random woman wandering around helpfully gives them the name of the person using the place.
They don’t have a warrant, but Kamin no longer follows rules and breaks in. Inside are shelves of chemicals from Dr. Puth’s hospital.
Back outside, they see Tonkla’s room from the front door. They flirt and kiss and then go into Tonkla’s dorm again. Kamin finds a hidden camera inside Tonkla’s wall clock.
Then, Kamin learns from Doctor Tankhun that Doctor Puth has suddenly resigned. Also, Fai’s body is not at the morgue. And Puth’s full name matches the name of the person using the drug exchange room.
In Puth’s office, they discover that Fai was Puth’s girlfriend. Also, his name matches the owner of the room full of chemicals. So, he must be getting revenge for her. Tankhun thinks that taking the body with him is a step too far. Isn’t it?

Jay gets a visit from that nice Doctor Puth
Puth tells him he should be good to leave tomorrow. But once he’s gone, Jay notices a Truth or Dare letter tucked under his mattress.
The cops also found a camera in Bell’s room, which is how the killer knew which option the victims chose. Those cameras were connected to Puth’s chemical storage place. He funded the murders by selling those chemicals for drugs.
Yu and Lee work with Jade to find the missing Champ, Cherreen, and Puth. Meanwhile, Kamin discovers that Jay is missing. On the CCTV footage, Kamin sees that Puth visited Jay’s room, and Jay left on his own.
Kamin calls Jade to update him and let him know he’s going after Jay.
Jay arrives at a house with Truth or Dare projected onto hanging white sheets. The words change to footage of his horrible, horrible, horrible friends doing terrible things and being murdered.
The Truth or Dare killer comes out, and there are two people on the porch covered in black sheets.

The Truth or Death killer takes his mask off, it’s Puth
Puth reveals Champ and Cherreen under the sheets. Jay gets to choose which one Puth shoots in the head.
Kamin knows where Jay is because he put a tracker in Jay’s bag. Jade wants him to wait, but Kamin thinks speed is important. Maybe, but also, tell him where you’re going? Drop a pin? He tells him he loves him, but his phone dies.
Then Jade learns the chemicals Puth had could be used to blow up, like, a house.
Jay refuses to pick who should die, so here’s Fai! She’s alive!
Post-credits take us back to the pool, where Jade’s tattoo is melting in the water. Kamin gets romantic and feels like they were destined to meet. Pool kisssssssing.
Jade declares that Kamin is his, and Kamin agrees. More kissing! It’s sweet

Flash back to Puth stopping Fai from jumping off a building
She didn’t deserve to die. Her “friends” used to die. And he was happy to help her.
Back to Jay, stunned to see Fai still alive. He thinks none of them deserve death. But if he doesn’t choose, Fai will shoot both Cherreen and Champ in the head.
Jay tries to switch to Truth. Fai accuses Jay of knowing Tar would rape her to get her to be Champ’s girlfriend, and Bell told Champ and Cherreen about her pregnancy to force her to have an abortion.
He claims he didn’t, but he did know they were going to drug her, and that Time and Tonkla would secretly record her, Bell, and Cherreen, and sell the footage online. She hoped he would help, but he never did.
But he’s really sorry. He thought there was nothing he could do! It’s not like he has a cop brother.

But Jay won’t choose, even if it means they’ll kill him
Fai hands Puth the gun. He points it at Jay, and we fade to black and hear a gunshot.
Cherreen wakes up in a cage in the house, with Champ, and various weapons. They immediately argue about who lied about what. Fai is delighted. They are surprised she’s still alive.
Puth helpfully explains that he helped Fai fake her death. Cherreen claims they were really worried about her, but neither Fai nor I believes her. Champ thinks they should talk calmly.
But Fai wants them to decide which of them will live and die. Cherreen tries to talk her way out of it, while Champ picks up an axe. Cherreen grabs a knife, and Puth shoots Champ to make things fair.
Outside, Kamin finds Jay, shot in the stomach. Jay helpfully knows Cherreen and Champ are upstairs and need to be saved from Fai and Puth.

Cherreen tries to reason with Champ
Since Fai obviously won’t let him live, but none of these people are smart. Champ attacks, and Cherreen fights back, but he gets his hands around her neck.
Meanwhile, Jade’s crew located Fai’s house, and Jade catches up to Kamin. He helps him hide from Puth, who has come downstairs to look for them. Kamin suggests they split up, or re-split up, and kisses Jade.
Cherreen manages to get the upper hand, but Kamin magically appears and shoots her in the back before she can stab Champ. Kamin points the gun at Fai and tells everyone to stop. Then Champ murders Cherreen. Oops.

Puth switches us from Saw to The Dark Knight
He tells Jade he can choose between saving Jay, or Kamin.
Magically, he’s got Jay back in the house, tied to a chair, next to him, so Jade doesn’t notice. He’s holding liquid oxygen, which will explode if it touches the aluminum powder under Jay. He doesn’t explain how Kamin’s life will be in danger, but wants Jade to choose.
Fai stabs a distracted Kamin and goes into the cage to kill Champ.
Jade says he chooses both and shoots Puth. The liquid oxygen falls, and the fire starts, but Jade pulls Jay out of the flames. Puth, on fire, presses a button and says they’ll all die together. A timer starts.
Jade gets Jay outside and goes to join Kamin. Kamin tries to stop Fai from killing Champ, but Champ stabs her in the back.

And then the house explodes a little
Jade and Kamin slowly walk Champ out of the burning building.
Some time later, Jay is back in the hospital. Puth survived but is very burned. Champ is in bad shape. Fai is, well, who knows.
Vacation time! They take Yu and Lee to the beach as thanks for their help with the case. Yu brings Kamin’s gun and badge to return to him.
They cook BBQ and eat it, then frolic on the beach. Kamin thanks Jade for coming into his life, and Jade thanks him back. Love confessions, and then kissssssssing.
While hanging out at a beach bar, they not-very-secretly get handed an envelope. Vacation is over!
1 year later, they return from another vacation, and are already talking about where to go next. Kamin wants to work again, and for Jade to get promoted. But Jade still wants no work talk at home. Kamin wants to go anywhere with Jade
Then Jade proposes, but can’t open the ring box. Kamin can’t either. He tosses the box and goes in for a kiss…

That was an unthrilling, unsurprising ending for me
I’d guessed our bad guys in the last two episodes. They did bad things. The horrible students did bad things. Kamin and Jade saved Jay and maybe no one else. The end.
Character-wise, even though Jade was given a choice between saving Kamin or saving his brother, I never felt Kamin was in danger. They survived an exploding house, no problem, then went on vacation.
Early on, the show started reminding me of the stuff I watched in the distant past, before streaming existed. Something like the A-Team, light-hearted TV with uncomplicated adventures with bad guys easily overcome by our quirky heroes. Anything bad that happened would leave no scars in the next episode.
I’m guessing this show works for people who want want that kind of adventure. The details of the crime, who was doing what, where, when, why, barely matter. There’s no reason to feel bad about the murder victims. Our main characters quickly settled into a comfortable rhythm of trust and understanding. They argued some, had to work out a few details, but nothing too worrisome.
The main difference between this and those older shows is that this show had more kissing and worse production values.
Unfortunately, that’s not what I want from a thriller BL. Without a tense plot or deeper character feelings, this show lost me. I like Joong and Dunk, so if I want them on my screen, I’ll go back to The Heart Killers.
