Pre-Recap Information:

It’s My Love Mix-Up! But the names and places have been changed so we can enjoy it all over again!

Instead of Aoki we have Atom, instead of Ida we have Kongthap, instead of Aida we have Half, and instead of Hashimoto we have Mudmee. Instead of Japan we’re in Thailand.

But we’ve still got a guy, Atom, with a crush on the girl he sits next to, Mudmee. Thanks to Mudmee lending Atom her eraser there’s a mix-up, and now Kongthap thinks Atom has a crush on him. Atom doesn’t want to betray Mudmee’s secret crush and can’t tell Kongthap the truth. Kongthap is a nice guy who doesn’t want to hurt Atom’s feelings by immediately rejecting him. Atom is now in a strange predicament.

It’s complicated. And it gets more complicated before anything gets cleared up. But that’s why it’s a lot of fun.

An exciting thing about this version is that it should be able to cover more (all?) of the volumes of the manga. The original Japanese series was shorter, as they usually are, and the entire manga had not come out when it aired. I’m excited to see these familiar-but-different-characters do familiar-and-new things.

The Japanese version was excellent, but my recaps won’t be about whether this new one is “good” or “bad” in comparison. I also won’t spoil anything outside of the episodes being recapped, so if you haven’t seen the Japanese original you can read along without fear. (But you should watch the Japanese version too!)
