The first time I watched this show was about two years ago. I had only started wading into the mysterious world of Thai BL and there were less shows available. (At least as an international view with my tastes). This one was highly praised online, but hesitated to watch because reincarnation plots were not my thing.

When I finally watched it I really enjoyed it.

Maybe because I’m watching The Sign, which also has reincarnation but is very different otherwise, but I’ve found myself wanting to rewatch this show. So here we are!

If you are curious about a reincarnation story but haven’t tried one, this could be a good one to dip your toe into. That more supernatural plot shares the pool with college and food tropes and plots. While there are some heavy moments, there’s plenty of time spent with carefree young people enjoying new love and eating eating Thai desserts.

I also found it really interesting how the reincarnation plot was handled, which remains different from any other I have encountered in the drama world.
