Your Sky of Us  – WDIW April 26th, 2025

Welcome to my Saturday blog post, where I give thoughts on dramas I’m watching, whether at the beginning, middle, or end. Whatever I want, because I’m petty that way.

This week, I recapped episodes 5-6 of When it rains, it pours. It’s really starting to pour now.

I also recapped Love Game in Eastern Fantasy 19-20. Everyone is either getting drunk or getting married.

April feels like it’s been a slow month for me across the various countries

Thai BL-wise, I’m waiting for Pit Babe Season 2, Knock Out, My Sweet Jom, and The Bangkok Boy (which comes out… any second now).

I’m not against watching not Thai and not BL, but I’m not seeing anything for me there.

I love a good Japanese drama, but nothing has caught my eye in a while. I’m not ready to dive into the world of Japanese adultery dramas, most of which don’t make it to international streaming anyway.

I’ve seen some Korean and Chinese shows getting praise, but they’re either tear-jerkers or more complicated than my current mood.

I have it hard, right? If you think I’ve missed anything I’d like, feel free to comment or send me an email.

This is all to say: What have I been watching lately? Not much. So I just have one review, and it’s just for a special.

Your Sky of Us – กี่หมื่นฟ้า Your Sky of Us – 2025

Recently aired special for Your Sky with 3 episodes.

Our sunshine guy and quiet guy are back to spend a few episodes giving each other presents and making out.

Here’s a link to the trailer.

Here are my reviews of Your Sky.

I’m ambivalent about special episodes. I keep forgetting that The Sign has one I should recap. It’s been over a year. In general, they feel like filler when the show is already over.

But it’s come to my attention recently that some special episodes can go off the rails and even ruin the story a little. If you know, you know. If you don’t know, you’re probably better off.

Luckily, these Your Sky special episodes are just fluffy filler

Quiet, cold-seeming, but totally-a-sweetheart Fah and smiling, happy Rak are living their best couple lives. Rak has a birthday, and Fah wants to surprise him. Then Rak wants to get Fah a present. But Fah wants to get more and bigger presents for Rak because he likes him so much. All their friends get involved, needlessly complicating things for additional run-time and comedy.

In between, we have jealous moments that prove how much Fah and Rak really like each other. There’s also product placement. Our second and third couple have a few sweet moments. There’s a very loose plot, and a climax that I think will make people who like specials happy.

The original series had a small amount of conflict, but here there’s nearly none. Sometimes, Fah and Rak don’t immediately get what they want, which is hard. But they have each other and their friends to help them survive these minuscule road bumps.

If you wanted more, I’m so sorry. I think this special was designed for people who want to wring every possible happy moment out of their happy couple. Those people had better be happy.

For me, it was filler that passed a few hours pleasantly.
