Tongtong has been in my sights since I discovered him as Best Younger Brother EVER in To Sir, With Love (which is also an all-time favorite). Then he popped up again, going aggro as an older brother in The Wicked Game.
But now, here he is, ready to BL. I couldn’t be more delighted.
And it doesn’t hurt that supernatural mystery-thriller is also one of my favorite genres to mix with romance. So here’s our Tongtong playing a Nour, which, as of two episodes in, seems to be something like a vampire?
He’s also an Inspector, Ken, investigating a series of murders that have been blamed on Nour. I have a feeling this is all connected to his quest to find a way to finally die already.
Also investigating these murders is a young Inspector, James, who has all the energy that our tired old Nour lacks. He has his own reasons for wanting to find whoever is behind this series of murders. And he has his own supernatural stuff going on.
As of the first two episodes, outside of some clunky AI stuff, the production for this show is production-ing. We’ve got dark, atmospheric lighting, some creative camera angles, and editing that helps build the tension. Also, good writing that sets our leads up at odds while I want them to kiss so bad.
So yeah. I’m sold. And very hungry to see where this is all going.
