When we last left our first of four couples, they got the ghost to appear!

Vann taunts her, gets strangled, and learns her name is Garlah
If he doesn’t stay away from Rakkhun, she’ll kill him. Later. Now she lets him go.
A shaken Rakkhun gives Vann a neck wipe-down rather than the BL full-body treatment. He doesn’t recognize her name, and doesn’t want to sleep in his place even though she can follow him anywhere. So Vann takes him to his place.
But Rakkhun can’t sleep there either. He asks Vann how he ended up at the Crow Club. It was fate: his life sucked, he had nothing, needed money, and met Linda.
This story puts Rakkhun to sleep. The next morning, he wakes up holding Vann’s hand, and Vann teases him for not letting him go.
The Crow Club members Take An Interest when Rakkhun joins them for breakfast. One of the waitresses reads tarot cards to try to learn about Garlah, but only finds out she’s Rakkhun’s ancestor.
Because of this, Rakkhun tries to summon her using a family ritual. But nothing happens.
So Vann apologizes and goes in for a kiss. Garlah appears to clarify that she wants to kill Vann to protect Rakkhun. Vann points out she’s making Rakkhun miserable.
She strangles him again anyway, until Rakkhun begs her to stop.

Vann says he’s fine, but Rakkhun wants to cancel the job
Vann can still have his money, and Rakkhun will spend his life single.
Meanwhile, Ranne offers to work for free so he can sing with Phatee. Talay still won’t take Sun’s job, but he catches a drunk Sun as he stumbles, proving he’s the perfect ML.
Talay also gives Vann advice, urging him to figure out his feelings and then talk with Rakkhun. Why is he so down on himself as a love interest? I’m with Sun, he seems perfect.
Vann’s mother also visits him on the way to a funeral. It’s been a year, and she kicked him out, but she wants him to come home. He tells her his plan to study abroad.
Meanwhile, Kan wants to know if he still has a chance with Rakkhun, but Rakkhun thinks they should both move on.

But if that’s only because of the ghost, Kan won’t be scared off again
He starts to kiss Rakkhun, and Garlah appears. Kan declares he’s more afraid of not being with Rakkhun than her, but when he tries for another kiss, she strangles him. She has one move.
She tells Kan that Rakkhun didn’t listen and will destroy himself over a man. Vann shows up as the ghost drops Kan, but he’s worried about Rakkhun.
Rakkhun sends Kan home but lets Vann into his place. Lying together in bed, he learns Vann needs the money to study in Japan. He got cheated out of a scholarship, so this is his solution.
Poor, lonely Rakkhun wants to hold hands, but Vann LETS HIM SNUGGLE.
The next day, Vann goes to Talay for advice but gets stuck with Phatee. Despite his cold attitude, Phatee does a decent job helping Vann realize he likes Rakkhun.

But Kan is still working to get Rakkhun back
Vann shows up at school to pick Rakkhun up, but Rakkhun is joining his classmates for a study session at Kan’s place.
Vann goes home, lights incense, says something about seeing Garlah in his dreams (when???), and gets her to appear. He proposes a deal: she leaves Rakkhun alone to be with Kan, and if Rakkhun’s life falls apart, she can kill Vann.
I’m not sure what this gets Garlah, but she agrees.
So when Kan gets close to Rakkhun again, there’s no ghost. But Rakkhun pushes Kan away and rushes to the Crow Club to kiss Vann. Vann is surprised! But not about Garlah. He tells Rakkhun he spoke to her, and he’s free to be with Kan.
Rakkhun skips over asking Vann how he handled Garlah, and asks what Vann wants. Vann wants to get paid and go to Japan!
Poor, sweet Rakkhun wonders if Vann never wanted anything more from him. Nope. Rakkhun tells him he’s glad he met him, and thanks him for everything.

Everyone at the Crow Club is sad Vann is leaving
Except Phatee. Also, He learns Ranne will be singing with him. He doesn’t want to sing with Ranne.
Ranne thinks Phatee will be more comfortable here, so they can see if it works here first. If it doesn’t, he’ll go on his way and not bother him again.
Sun is smoking and drinking and sleep-deprived. Talay wants him to pick someone else for the job. Sun explains it’s like dating, and can’t just be someone else. Talay still thinks he won’t be what Sun thinks he is.
But he’s willing to explore a different kind of relationship. Oh. Well then.
Shirtless Tangmo helps Yoyeh work out by smacking him in the head. Yoyeh gets frustrated, punches him in the stomach, grabs him, and… it’s romantic? Tangmo acts like he won’t help Yoyeh, but Yoyeh suggests he’s using this as an excuse to be together again.
Tangmo… doesn’t deny it.

Vann has gone home to help his mother at her restaurant
She tells him she’s proud of him. Awww. Also, the Crow Club gang stops by to say goodbye and share a group hug.
Thankfully, Linda played Fairy Godmother and gave Rakkhun the address, so he shows up as Vann closes shop.
Vann still tries to pretend he has no feelings for Rakkhun, but really, he sees himself as a poor loser who can’t take care of Rakkhun. Sweet Rakkhun doesn’t see him this way. But Vann also doesn’t want lonely Rakkhun to be even lonelier, trapped in a long-distance relationship.
Rakkhun wants a last hug. Then there’s kissing and… They wake up in bed together the next morning? Okay.
Before he leaves, they talk about meeting after Vann graduates. But Vann wants Rakkhun to find someone better. Rakkhun says if Vann wants him to be happy, he should hurry back.

Awww, Rakkhun goes to the Crow Club to be sad
They try to cheer him up, well, except Phatee.
And of course, Garlah is NOT happy with Vann, following him to Japan. He’s shocked to learn Rakkhun loves him. The backstory on her is simple. In historic times, she loved a woman. They were discovered. The woman was beaten to death, and Garlah died by suicide.
Rather than going Khemjira on those responsible for the deaths, she’s keeping Rakkhun loveless and alone. To protect him.
New deal! Vann promises to make Rakkhun happy, so he doesn’t end up like her. Also, if she kills him, Rakkhun WILL end up like her. But he loves Rakkhun and wants him to be happy.
After a quick strangle, Garlah agrees to this new deal.
Meanwhile, Rakkhun makes it clear to Kan he’s no longer interested. The end.

But also, there’s a big Earthquake in Japan
Rakkhun is freaking out when Vann arrives at his door. Apparently it was such a strong earthquake that a ceiling nearly fell on him. Is his school still standing?
Anyway, all Vann could think about then was Rakkhun, and he had to come right back. So… it wasn’t the ghost deal then? What is happening?
Whatever, he wants to try a relationship with Rakkhun, so we get kissssssssssssing.
Rakkhun is upset about Vann and Garlah’s deal. But Vann is confident he can make Rakkhun happy. Garlah, watching them, also wishes for Rakkhun’s happiness.
Vann brings Rakkhun to the Crow Club to show him off! Everyone thinks Vann got the better deal. Linda doesn’t care about the no-involvement rule, and Rakkhun is now part of the family.
Vann thanks Rakkhun for never letting him go, tells Rakkhun he loves him, and more kisssssing.

I liked the sweet little ghost story
But the writing and acting needed help.
The script felt perfunctory, focused on things happening without adding details to give it depth. While Vann used his being poor as an excuse not to be together, it didn’t really come up otherwise. Rakkhun was a Very Lonely Rich Boy, but it only affected his dating life.
Mostly, they were just nice young guys. Better acting could have given us a little more, but our cute guys here are pretty wooden.
It didn’t help that they were also our first couple, so we barely had time to meet them before the romance started.
Meanwhile, I’m enjoying what they’re doing with the other couples. I like seeing Ranne sensitively adjusting his tactics with Phatee. And Talay making a bold, alternative proposition to Sun.
Of course, I love that Rakkhun gets a family to keep him company while Vann is in Japan. One of my favorite things about these shows with bigger casts is seeing characters interact outside of their romantic relationships.
I’m also glad the money didn’t end up being A Big Deal. Vann gets to keep it and go to Japan. Rakkhun is such a sweetie. This makes sense.
So, which couple is next?
