When last we left our rabid dog and new arrival, they found love in a hopeless place.

Now they have sex while intercut with Claire clipping her nails
So she can touch Bell all over without scratching her. This. Is. GL.
She’s also pulled her hair up, which probably helps the process as well.
Bell draws a picture of Claire on a pet food pouch wrapper. She learned to draw from her Mom. Now that both her parents are dead, she’s truly alone.
Claire never learned to draw, but does a cute/crude version of Bell. With their drawings side by side, Claire tells Bell she’s not alone. Aww.
Enough sweetness. Back in their cell, Kae gives Bell the cold shoulder. She’s also working in the kitchen instead of the library. If she only needed some space, I’d understand. But. That’s not what’s happening.

Deedee and Duen have no idea what’s going on with the loan money
It’s all in Kae’s control. I’m beginning to wonder if Kae isn’t running a pyramid scheme.
Dao has caught onto their secret loan business and wants them to stop. Deedee and Duen refuse, and Deedee even threatens to expose her and Wichai if she tells on them.
Kae asks her old crew member to spread some news. Uh-oh. Later, she retrieves some pills Mangpor hid for her and gives them a funny look. Uh-oh.
Meanwhile, Bell and Claire live in their own music video, having sex and frolicking around the prison.
The truth about Pa is out, and Wichai’s bosses aren’t happy. They want him to “take care of the details”, not do the right thing. Wichai thinks Porsche told on him, but Porsche says he was just told the truth when asked about it.

Claire’s sister, Cream, is Having A Hard Time
She’s changed schools and names, but is skipping class. Her parents think she shouldn’t “stress” about her sister, which is Very Unrealistic. Never mind everything else, having a close sibling go to jail for any reason would be upsetting.
Cream accuses them of judging Claire for one action, killing someone. She’s really talking about herself and how they’d judge her.
Dao picks up pills from the same place Kae got hers, and takes them later. There’s going to be a mix-up, right?

Claire breaks Bell out so they can have a romantic night outside
She proposes to Bell with a ring she made. Bell gets Claire to put it on her finger. Then we get a vision of them, in white dresses, walking through the prison to the greenhouse, full of blooming roses. They kiss.
After that, we get to watch Dao and Wichai having sex while Claire and Bell have sex. Maybe to illustrate who has the better sex? I dunno.
Claire writes Bell’s name on her shoes, and the roses in the greenhouse are budding! Symbolism!
The Teacher’s Sister visits Claire and knows about Cream. The news Kae had spread around was the truth about Claire going to jail to protect her sister. She must have overheard it while spying on our pair.
Unfortunately, this info has even hit the news. Cream sees it and pulls a phone out of the drawer. It has the teacher as the wallpaper.

Flashback time!
First, we see Claire at the “murder” scene, before going back to happier times. Kinda. Cream and Claire were trapped in the “good” and “bad” daughter roles. Cream is studious and proper. Claire dropped out, sells clothes, and drinks with friends at a skatepark.
Cream thinks Claire learns faster than her. Claire makes her pinky promise, then says the truth is she tells herself not to fear failure. When you’re not afraid of mistakes, you learn quickly.
Cream asks the kind-seeming teacher to tutor her. At first, everything seems okay. Then one night, he locks the door and violently SAs her. Amidst the violence, we get a single shot of what I think is her phone recording everything.
Cream stabs the teacher with scissors to make him stop. Then, she calls Claire.
Claire thinks they should call the police, but Cream doesn’t want anyone to know. So Claire tells her she’ll take care of it. Cream is never to tell ANYONE. Pinky Promise.
Claire reminds her she’s a good girl with a bright future. That feels like a curse.
Claire wipes blood all over herself while a shoeless, bloody Cream walks away. Did no one notice Cream’s shoes at the murder scene?

Back in the present, hair down again, Claire confronts Bell
The only person she ever told. Bell cries and walks away, hurt at not being trusted.
Claire tries something involving Mangpor and asking Wichai to let her out, which I don’t quite understand. Probably to see Cream?
Not that it matters. Wichai is mad at her about the report on Pa and won’t do anything for her. She punches him in the face and gets sent to solitary for a month.
Later, Bell cries as she listens to Claire screaming and slamming into the jail door. She approaches the 3D gang and gets a loan she won’t be able to pay off, but Kae allows. Then buys garden and art supplies.
Meanwhile, Top is a drunk mess. And people have figured out he was at the bar the night Bell was arrested. His lawyer says Top can get out of it, and Bell out of prison, if he cuts ties with his friends.

Claire is having nightmares and struggling
Bell bribes Porsche with… bread… to take Claire a pile of … bread… Peak PPL.
Bell hid a notebook for Claire under the bread. It has the pictures they drew of each other (Claire isn’t alone either!), other drawings Bell made, and a pressed rose. Bell wrote that she swears she’d never share her secret, not to be angry, and come out soon.
Claire reads it and cries.
Kae, with the 3D gang, wants the loan and all the other money she gave Bell back. Deedee is afraid of Claire and hesitant to hurt Bell. Kae’s decided Claire isn’t a threat, since she’s never really killed anyone. She orders the 3D gang to beat Bell, and they do it.
Cream gets in a stranger’s car to escape from a mess of reporters. It’s Teacher’s Sister, who reminds her that they both visited the prison to see Claire. Cream tries to leave, Teacher’s Sister grabs her, but Cream escapes. Only, she’s left her phone behind.
Claire is released and finds Bell, still bruised, in the greenhouse. She’s ready to take pruning shears to Kae, but Bell stops her. She doesn’t want Claire in solitary again. Instead, they take a gentle, sweet shower together.
Despite this, Claire later hunts Kae down. Kae learns Claire IS dangerous when she jams the pruning shears in her neck hard enough to draw blood.
Claire knows Kae is behind everything. If she doesn’t leave Claire and Bell alone, she’ll be the first person Claire kills. Also, she’ll pay back the money Bell owes.

Deedee calls Kae dumb, which has to sting worse than her cut neck
But Kae has taken over the 3D gang. Since Deedee and Duen do nothing, the 3D gang now listens to Kae, not them.
Wichai gets yelled at for having an inmate in solitary for a month. Claire admits she filed the report, and has more she can file. Unless Bell is moved into her cell. Done.
Bell leaves Kae to her sad, lonely existence.
Claire and Bell stay up under the sheets together. Bell wants to know if Claire resents serving time for a crime she didn’t commit. But Claire made this choice and accepts it. Bell is miserable in prison, but thinks she has a chance to get out with a new attorney.
Claire wants to know what if she never gets out, because she can’t accept her sister being here instead of her. Bell understands this and smiles a little sadly.
They kiss in their magic sheet tent.

It’s all going to come down to the phone
For Claire and Cream, anyway. Maybe Cream won’t go to jail. Why was it recording? Had the Teacher already assaulted her? Or was she recording to study later?
I love a good/bad sibling set-up, it’s so very East of Eden (except much more loving here). Not only is being the “bad” sibling not great, but being the “good” sibling also sucks. You can never do anything wrong. I don’t think Claire even realizes this is a burden, but as she’s currently in jail for Cream, I’m not holding it against her.
Speaking of being forced into a role, Top. I don’t feel bad for him, but he’d be better off with a Father who cared about him, not the family image. I’m curious if he’ll come through for Bell in the end. Not that it’ll redeem him, but he owes her.
I hated seeing Bell beaten, but I’m glad that as a character, she had a chance to prove she wouldn’t lose her integrity when push came to beating. Despite what Top owes her, I want to see her get out using her own agency.
Wow, though, she has a neat superpower: People want to pay for her. Top, Kae, and now Claire. But I want her to get out of prison, sue Top and his Dad, and have her own money.
I’m really excited for the last two eps.
