Based on the first two episodes, this show looks like it’ll be a lot of fun.
We’ve got Jack, he’s a sweet good kid who, despite all that life throws at him, wants only to help those around him. Unfortunately, it seems that life still has a lot of challenges to throw at him.
Then we’ve got Joker, a jaded guy from a wealthy, judgemental family who feels his only talents involve stealing and lying. He wants to put these talents toward helping others, but he’s not good at thinking things through.
With such opposites, the immediate question is: How will they affect one another? Will Jack’s optimism save Joker from a life of crime? Will Joker’s dangerous proclivities take both him and Jack down?
Since I like a sweet, wholesome guy with a strong moral compass AND a jaded criminal who still believes in good, I’m hoping their interactions eventually bring out the best in each other. And they fall in love. That part is important.
This is a Thai BL, so I’m not interested in Reservoir Dogs level gritty realism when it comes to the criminal aspects of the show. Or any aspects (though maybe I want more realism than Pit Babe). But mostly I’m hoping for some fun adventures, bantering, character growth, and a happy ending (with no time skips please).
As a side note, our leads are a popular pairing after being in various Love Mechanics shows or spin-offs or whatever — I haven’t watched any. But I can see from the first two episodes that they have nice chemistry together.
